This was a cross-county ski lodge built in the depression by the Civilian Conservation Corps. We stripped out all of the modern improvements down to the original construction and replaced damaged and missing elements with new. A concrete and stone accessibility ramp was added, along with on-site restrooms.

Multnomah Falls is an iconic feature of the Columbia Gorge. It receives over 2 million visitors a year. The plaza and visitor center at its base is now completely accessible. Day-to-day, start to finish project management.

Longmire Bridge is on the National Historic Register of Engineering Projects. It is a suspension bridge over the Nisqually River. The project's objective was to replace the supporting towers while keeping the bridge open to minor traffic. Another hands-on example of project management.

Cape Meares lighthouse, built in 1908, overlooks the Tilllamook Bay on a high, high cliff. Project included repairs to the cast iron lighthouse elements, removing, polishing and replacing all brass, and polishing the fresnal lens. Hands-on project manager.

Waskowitz Bridge is a three-spanned hinged arch bridge. My efforts were mostly limited to concrete form design and construction and, as usual onsite labor for all phases including assembly and helicopter staging.

Moulton Falls bridge is a glulam and treated timber trail bridge across the East Fork of the Lewis River. This project included power-washing the bridge and restoring the wooden elements with wood preservative. As Project Manager, I designed the containment system which kept dirt and debris from entering the river. I was hands-on start to finish.

Near Lake Arrowhead, CA, this hinged ach bridge takes the Pacific Crest Trail across the Deep Creek canyon. I designed the concrete forms for the bents an abutments, laid out and cut most of the steel. On site labor of all aspects. Helicopter staging.

Ozette an the Ozette trail bridge is in the rain forest on Washington's north coast. This was an experience where I learned about fluid concrete forming and false work. National winner - best short span bridge.

After spending two years maintaining and building wilderness trails, we began bridge building with this cascade on Beacon Rock. I was responsible for bridge fabrication, helicopter logistics, and general labor. I was 17.
